Antipa’s wholly owned
North Telfer Project, Citadel Joint Venture with Rio Tinto, Wilki project with
Newcrest Mining and Paterson Project with IGO Limited are all located within
the Paterson Mineral Province in the north-west of Western Australia,
approximately 400km east of Port Hedland and 1,300km north-north-east of Perth.
The combined projects represent a significant tenement holding in the Paterson
of approximately 5,000km2.
The Paterson Province hosts a number of world-class mineral deposits
(the Telfer gold-copper-silver mine, the Nifty copper mine, the Woodie Woodie
manganese mine, the O’Callaghans tungsten deposit and the Kintyre uranium
deposit) and exciting new discoveries (Rio Tinto’s Winu copper find and Greatland
Gold’s Havieron gold project) that are all in close proximity to Antipa’s
projects. Despite its obvious prospectivity, the province remains underexplored
as large parts are concealed by cover. The cover on most of Antipa’s ground is
shallow, allowing for relatively simple, cost effective exploration.
