Stockhead - Old core, new tricks as Minyari strikes gold

By Special Report

  • Previously unsampled Minyari core returns 22m at 8.2g/t gold
  • GEO-01, WACA and Rizzo drilling extends known mineralisation
  • Tim’s Dome and Chicken Ranch add more targets to the mix

Special Report: Old core at Antipa Minerals’ Minyari Project has revealed one more trick up its sleeve with a previously unsampled section returning a high-grade intersection of 22m at 8.2g/t gold including 5.1m at 27.4g/t.

The interval came from the upper part of a diamond hole drilled in 2025, which was left unsampled until Antipa began preparing core for definitive feasibility study metallurgical testwork.

Antipa Minerals (ASX: AZY) says the result backs a shallow, north-plunging high-grade gold shoot, also intersected in holes 15-40m away.

“The 22m at 8.2 g/t gold assay result at Minyari is an excellent result from previously unsampled core within the deposit area,” Managing Director Roger Mason said.

“At the same time, the latest drilling at GEO-01, WACA and Rizzo continues to identify opportunities to extend mineralisation beyond zones that we’ve currently defined.”

Fresh drilling pushes beyond Minyari’s known zones

While the old core has added detail from inside the Minyari deposit, new drilling is extending mineralisation beyond previously defined zones.

Results at GEO-01 Main Zone, WACA and Rizzo give AZY three places to chase extensions around Minyari Dome.

At GEO-01, a diamond hole returned 26.6m at 1.4g/t gold and 0.04% copper from 640.4m, including 18.9m at 1.8g/t gold and 0.06% copper.

The result is about 230m down dip of previously defined mineralisation.

WACA drilling extended gold mineralisation about 80m down plunge to the north.

At Rizzo, results included 12m at 1.3g/t gold and 0.35% copper from 70m, with mineralisation remaining open.

Minyari Dome hosts 2.5Moz of gold in Mineral Resources, including 2.2Moz in the Indicated category, plus 87,000t of copper.

Across the wider project, the April resource estimate totals 2.9Moz of gold, or 3.6Moz gold equivalent.

Tim’s Dome and Chicken Ranch add to the gold hunt

At Tim’s Dome, about 30km southwest of Minyari Dome, drilling has found further gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation across roughly 600m of strike above and beside a 1.2km-long airborne electromagnetic conductor.

One hole returned 51m at 0.24% copper from 241m, including 25m at 0.43% copper.

Across the eastern fold limb, drilling has identified new mineralised zones over about 2.2km of strike, alongside Tim’s Dome’s existing 110,000oz gold resource.

Two diamond holes designed to test the conductor beneath these mineralised zones are complete while a third is nearing completion.

Chicken Ranch, a separate satellite deposit with about 49,000oz of gold, has also delivered shallow results east of its main resource corridor.

An air core hole returned 14m at 2.1g/t gold from 40m, including 2m at 13g/t. The new zones sit outside the existing resource area and remain open along strike and down dip.

AZY has completed 42,248m of Phase 1 drilling across Minyari, with two rigs still active.
