Mining.com - Antipa strikes ‘thick, high-grade’ gold at Minyari

Antipa Minerals (ASX: AZY) continues to progress drilling with two rigs at its Minyari Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia, reporting ‘high-grade’ gold at the Minyari deposit and ‘strong’ gold intersections at Tim’s Dome.

Assays from previously unsampled sections of a 2025 drill core at Minyari returned 22m @ 8.21 grams per tonne gold (Au) and 0.35% cobalt (Co) from 100m. The interval includes 5.10m @ 27.40g/t Au and 1.04% Co, with a peak grade of 82.2g/t Au over 1m.

These represent the fifth batch of phase one results from Antipa’s 100%-owned, 3,840km² project, located in WA’s Paterson Province.

The batch covers 22 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes across 4,588m at Tim’s Dome and Minyari Dome, three diamond drill holes at Minyari Dome, and 79 aircore drill holes at Chicken Ranch.

Diamond drilling at the GEO-01 Main zone extended mineralisation roughly 230m down dip, intersecting 26.60m @ 1.36g/t Au from 640.4m.

Meanwhile, additional gold intersected at WACA has extended mineralisation around 80m down plunge. Drilling yielded 44m @ 0.5g/t Au from 386m, including 21m @ 0.8g/t Au from 386m.

At Tim’s Dome, RC drilling intersected gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation over about 600m of strike, including 9m @ 1.48g/t Au from 178m.

Antipa also flagged gold-copper mineralisation at Rizzo. Key results include 12m @ 1.34g/t Au and 0.27% copper from 70m, with mineralisation remaining open.

Finally, aircore drilling at Chicken Ranch defined additional gold targets, with assays returning 14m @ 2.10g/t Au from 40m, including 2m @ 12.97g/t Au, outside the current mineral resource estimate (MRE).

Managing Director Roger Mason says the latest results show opportunities to grow Minyari “both around our existing deposits and through delivering new gold and copper discoveries”.

Antipa has completed 330 phase one drill holes for 42,248m, funded by existing cash and Exploration Incentive Scheme grants.

Two diamond drill holes at Tim’s Dome are also complete, with a third nearing completion to test a 1.2km airborne electromagnetic conductor beneath the mineralised zones. Meanwhile, drilling has just commenced at the AL01 target.

The company is also progressing its Prefeasibility Study for Minyari Dome and expects further assays. Minyari Dome currently hosts a 2.5-million-ounce (Moz) gold MRE. Of this, 2.2Moz are classified as indicated.

“The objective remains to systematically grow our understanding of these mineralised systems and, where drilling supports it, convert that opportunity into additional mineral resources to add to our already-substantial future development opportunity at Minyari Dome,” Mason says.

Antipa Minerals is a mineral explorer focused on discovering gold-copper deposits in WA’s Paterson Province.
