Proactive Investors - Antipa to diamond drill test Tetris gold-copper target at Minyari Dome
Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX: AZY) is set to kick off diamond core drilling at the Tetris target of its 100%-owned Minyari Dome Gold-Copper Project in the Paterson Province of Western Australia.
A diamond drill rig has been mobilised to the high-priority greenfield Tetris target to test a bulls-eye shaped, sized and amplitude partially coincident magnetic-gravity high geophysical anomaly.
The initial plan is to complete a single 800-metre deep diamond core drill hole — the first hole in this highly prospective greenfield gold-copper target.
There’s potential for this drill hole to be followed up, based on results, as part of the broader phase 2 2023 exploration program.
Antipa’s exploration drilling at Tetris is supported by the Western Australian Government with $220,000 in co-funding provided through the exploration incentive scheme (EIS).
Likeness to Havieron
Antipa notes that Tetris, which is 35 kilometres northeast of the Minyari Deposit, bears significant geophysical likeness to Havieron — a large-scale 5.5 million ounce gold and 222,000-tonne copper deposit discovered in the region.
This includes a similar bulls-eye shaped, sized and amplitude partially coincident magnetic-gravity high geophysical signature, which is hosted by interpreted equivalent stratigraphy under about 450 metres of cover. The closest drill hole to Tetris is only around 15 kilometres away.
Expanded 2023 exploration program
Drilling at Tetris forms part of the larger 2023 phase 2 Minyari Dome exploration program, which is testing several key growth and discovery targets. Up to 10,000 metres of RC drilling, 4,200 metres of diamond core drilling and 5,000 metres of aircore drilling is planned.
In addition to Tetris, the program was designed to test other key growth and discovery targets including GEO-01, Pacman and several other regional targets subject to budgeting and other exploration considerations.
