The Australian - Antipa drilling continues to highlight Minyari scale and quality
By Special Report
- High-grade hits 500m below Minyari Dome have opened a new deep target zone
- Discovery drilling returns 32m gold, copper and silver at RPS after following up on previous drilling highlighting a maiden resource opportunity
- Highly encouraging results from Tim’s Dome in quest for Telfer-style targets
Special Report: Antipa Minerals has been buoyed by drill results from the Minyari Project in WA’s Paterson Province, confirming discoveries at Reaper-Poblano-Serrano (RPS) and beneath the Minyari deposit.
The seventh batch of assays from 2025 drilling returned high-grade intersections beneath the Minyari deposit, continued down dip extensions at Fiama and GEO-01 Main Zone, several thick gold-copper-silver intersections at RPS and new zones at Tim’s Dome.
Deep drilling below the Minyari deposit returned hits such as 0.3m grading 6.9g/t gold, 2.9% copper and 4.3g/t silver from 1,234m and 0.7m at 5.1g/t Au and 0.4% Cu from 1,240m in hole 25MYD0540.
Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) said this hole was interpreted to have clipped the upper edge of a new high-impact target zone.
Meanwhile, discovery drilling at RPS returned multiple thick shallow intersections topping up at 32m at 1.5g/t Au, 0.18% Cu and 1.2g/t Ag from 88m.
Other notable intersections were fielded at Fiama, where step-out drilling returned 8m at 8.2g/t Au and 0.99% Cu from 257m, while air core drilling at Tim’s Dome extended mineralisation in multiple directions with results such as 4m at 1.3g/t Au and 0.13% Cu from 20m.
“Batch seven has delivered another set of great results that continue to demonstrate the scale and quality of our Minyari development project and further support the upcoming MRE update,” AZY Managing Director Roger Mason said.
“High-grade intersections beneath the existing Minyari Dome deposit have successfully clipped the top of an exciting new target system, confirming that the area remains wide open at depth.
“The Fiama discovery also continues to grow, with impressive down dip continuity returned in these results.
“The emerging discovery at RPS, together with encouraging new intersections into mineralised zones at Tim’s Dome further highlight the district scale opportunity across our commanding Paterson Province position.”
Minyari Project drilling
The Phase 2 new discovery drilling program at the 4,100km2 Minyari Project is now complete with 301 holes totalling 26,076m drilled. Assays have been received for 24,068m.
Exploration drilling at the Project was aimed at testing greenfield targets to deliver new discoveries, expanding the existing resource at multiple Minyari Dome deposits and advance Pre-feasibility Study workstreams.
At Minyari Deeps, discovery hole 25MYD0540 intersected narrow but high-grade gold-copper mineralisation about 500m below the existing Minyari deposit.
It located the prospective WACA host rocks coincident with depth extensions of the Minyari structural domain, clipping the upper edge of this highly prospective target zone.
At RPS, 26 broadly spaced RC holes totalling 4,752m were completed to follow-up on previous shallow second phase air core drill results across the Poblano and Serrano aeromagnetic high anomalies, beneath just 15-25m of cover.
Results from Poblano show significant ore grade gold-copper mineralisation with a reduced intrusion related mineral system signature that includes associated bismuth-tungsten-molybdenum across a 300m by 300m area.
Ore-grade gold-copper mineralisation has been extended to a strike length of 400m at Serrano.
AZY drilled 74 second phase reconnaissance air core holes totalling 7,013m at Tim’s Dome about 10km northwest along strike from Telfer.
Tim’s Dome hosts stratigraphy set between surface and just 9m of sand cover, similar to the Telfer mine.
Results from drilling, which was aimed at exploring for Telfer-style stratabound vein “Reef” and structurally controlled breccia targets, are highly encouraging.
Gold mineralisation has been extended to a strike length of 3.5km across strike of between 300 to 600m.
Multiple new gold-targets have been identified on the eastern limb of Tim’s Dome, which remains open in all directions.
Meanwhile, PFS sterilisation drilling designed to test proposed site infrastructure and waste dump location is ongoing.
To date, 48 reverse circulation holes totalling 4,686m have been completed out of the planned 79 holes for 7,386m.
This drilling has identified a new zone of near surface gold-copper mineralisation ~600m west of the Minyari deposit.
Further assays results from exploration and PFS sterilisation drilling will be returned in the coming months.
An update to the existing 2.5Moz resource is expected prior to the end of December.
PFS workstreams continue to advance with a focus on refining and de-risking the development opportunity, including progressing permitting activities.
