Proactive Investors - Antipa Minerals delivers encouraging gold hits in final phase 1 assays from Minyari Dome

Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX:AZY) has delivered further mineralised gold intersections in the final assay results from phase 1 drilling at Minyari North target within the Minyari Dome Gold-Copper Project in the Paterson Province of Western Australia.

Assays have been returned for the outstanding 4,246 metres of the 7,300-metre phase 1 reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Minyari Dome.

Standout assays include:

  • 4 metres at 2.0 g/t gold from 112 metres downhole;
  • 66 metres at 0.5 g/t gold from 132 metres downhole; and
  • 4 metres at 1.8 g/t gold from 172 metres downhole

Moving forward, preparation for follow-up drilling at the recent near-surface, high-grade GEO-01 gold discovery and maiden drilling at the high-potential Tetris and Pacman targets is well advanced.

Drill testing high-potential targets

Antipa managing director Roger Mason said: “Our CY2023 Phase 1 drilling campaign at Minyari Dome has successfully delivered a new near-surface, high-grade gold discovery at GEO-01 with today’s results showing further mineralised intersections at the Minyari North target.

“We will now refocus our attention on the near-surface, potential open pit amenable, opportunities at the GEO-01 discovery as well as the Tetris and Pacman targets.

“Concurrently, we will evaluate the continuity of the observed Minyari North high-grade gold mineralisation and look forward to the next phase of 2023 exploration across the entire Minyari Dome Project.

“We remain confident in our objective of delivering a significant upgrade to our existing resource as we continue the systematic RC and diamond core drill testing of our high-potential targets scheduled for the remainder of this calendar year.”
Results summary

Final drill results for the 7,346-metre phase 1 Minyari Dome RC drill program have been returned, encompassing 24 RC holes for 4,246 metres.

The drill program spanned seven targets including Minyari North, Minyari Plunge offset target, Chicane and a selection of four geophysical targets all within one kilometre of the Minyari deposit.

No significant mineralisation was intersected at the Minyari Plunge offset target.

Forward plan

Antipa’s phase 1 first-pass, broad-spaced RC drill results returned at GEO-01 warrant revaluation, with follow-up drilling being planning.

Planning is well advanced, with infill and extensional RC/diamond core drilling scheduled to begin during the second half of September.

At Tetris, Preparation for drill testing is well advanced, with diamond core drilling scheduled for the first half of October.
Drill testing at Pacman will also be supported by the WA Government, with a second co-funded grant of A$220,000 awarded to test the multiple Havieron and Nifty analogue target.

In preparation for diamond drill testing, scheduled to commence during the second half of October, Antipa recently completed an airborne gravity gradiometer (AGG) geophysical survey and is planning to complete a detailed aeromagnetic survey in early September.
